Responsibilities

• Monitor GCP resources using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Security Command Center.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve alerts, incidents, and service disruptions.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting across compute, network, IAM, and storage services.
• Manage Compute Engine instances including deployment, restart, and performance checks.
• Troubleshoot networking issues including firewall rules, connectivity, VPN, and load balancing.
• Manage IAM roles, policies, and access control mechanisms.
• Administer GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and GKE.
• Provision and manage GCP resources using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Configure and manage VPC, subnets, VPN, Interconnect, and load balancers.
• Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization and cost.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL).
• Work on GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, and VPC.
• Apply networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, VPN).
• Provide support for Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.

L2 Google Cloud Engineers act as the primary support layer responsible for monitoring systems, handling incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, and ensuring timely escalation while maintaining SLA compliance and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities
