Job summary

Teleglobals is seeking a hands-on GCP professional who can independently support our GCP business from solutioning to deployment and production support. This role requires broad GCP knowledge, strong L2/L3 troubleshooting, and customer-facing solutioning skills.

You will configure GCP projects, IAM, networking, landing-zone components, compute, storage, databases, Kubernetes, security, and monitoring, and develop runbooks and deployment documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong practical knowledge of GCP Compute, Networking, IAM, Storage, Databases, GKE, Security, Monitoring, and Logging.
• Strong L2/L3 production troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing technical engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for GCP infrastructure, applications, and managed services.
• Troubleshoot production issues across compute, networking, IAM, storage, databases, GKE, security, DNS, load balancing, monitoring, and logging.

Job description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on GCP professional who can independently support our GCP business from customer solutioning through deployment and production support. This is the initial core technical resource and therefore requires broad GCP knowledge, strong L2/L3 troubleshooting capability, customer-facing solutioning skills, and good DevOps exposure.

Primary Responsibilities – L2/L3 Support:

• Provide L2/L3 support for GCP infrastructure, applications, and managed services.
• Troubleshoot production issues across compute, networking, IAM, storage, databases, GKE, security, DNS, load balancing, monitoring, and logging.
• Perform incident management, root-cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and permanent corrective actions.
• Handle technical escalations and coordinate with Google Cloud Support when required.
• Support high-availability, backup, disaster recovery, performance, scalability, and 24×7 production environments.
• Participate in customer technical discussions, requirement gathering, and solutioning.
• Design secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective GCP solutions.
• Recommend appropriate GCP services for migration, modernization, infrastructure, and managed-service requirements.
• Prepare HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, deployment approaches, and basic effort/cost estimates.
• Provide technical guidance across the broader GCP platform and identify when specialist support is required.

Deployment & Implementation

• Plan and execute end-to-end GCP infrastructure and managed-service deployments.
• Configure GCP projects, IAM, networking, landing-zone components, compute, storage, databases, Kubernetes, security, and monitoring.
• Implement and maintain production environments following GCP best practices.
• Develop operational runbooks, SOPs, and deployment documentation.

DevOps & Automation – Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Required Skills:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong practical knowledge of GCP Compute, Networking, IAM, Storage, Databases, GKE, Security, Monitoring, and Logging.
• Strong L2/L3 production troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing, load balancing, and cloud security.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows administration.
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing technical engagements.
• Strong communication, documentation, incident management, and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, or other GCP managed services.
• Multi-cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• ITIL / formal incident and change-management experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A hands-on GCP engineer/architect who can act as the primary technical owner for GCP engagements.
• Comfortable moving between customer solution discussions, deployments, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Broad across GCP rather than narrowly specialized in one service.
• Able to independently assess issues and engage G3CP specialists/Google Support when deeper expertise is required.
