Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inward Operations: Receive materials, unload, inspect, and store per FIFO; verify GRN processing and track returnable packing material inventory.
• Dispatch Operations: Monitor customer schedules, plan material availability, generate ASN labels, coordinate loading and dispatch documentation, ensure on-time delivery.
• Warehouse Operations: Monitor shortages, ensure proper storage and inventory control, coordinate with internal departments to ensure uninterrupted customer supplies.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare POD summaries, track GRN status, maintain attendance records, reconcile dispatch docs with Sales Register.
• Transportation Coordination: Plan trip-wise material requirements, arrange vehicles with transporters, monitor delivery status and POD submission.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Inward Operations

• Receive materials from manufacturing plants.
• Unload, inspect, and store materials as per FIFO guidelines.
• Verify incoming materials and complete Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing.
• Track and maintain returnable packing material inventory.
• Coordinate the loading and dispatch of empty returnable packing materials.
• Coordinate with Plant and Warehouse teams to resolve material discrepancies.

2. Dispatch Operations

• Monitor daily customer schedules through customer portals.
• Plan material availability and vehicle requirements based on customer demand.
• Generate ASN barcode labels through customer portals.
• Coordinate pallet changeover activities with the Quality team.
• Supervise vehicle loading and ensure dispatch documentation is complete.
• Track dispatched vehicles to ensure on-time delivery.
• Respond promptly to customer queries related to dispatch and deliveries.
• Maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) records and transporter acknowledgements.

3. Warehouse Operations

• Monitor material shortages and prepare daily shortage reports.
• Ensure proper material storage and inventory control following FIFO practices.
• Maintain accurate records of packing materials and warehouse inventory.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure uninterrupted customer supplies.
• Support activities to prevent customer production line stoppages.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain daily POD summary reports.
• Track GRN status through customer portals.
• Maintain employee attendance records.
• Verify dispatch documents before vehicle dispatch.
• Maintain trip-wise dispatch tracking records.
• Prepare invoices and reconcile dispatch documents with the Sales Register.
• Maintain accurate warehouse records and reports.

5. Transportation Coordination

• Plan trip-wise material requirements based on customer schedules.
• Arrange vehicles in coordination with transporters.
• Monitor transportation to ensure timely deliveries.li>
• Follow up with transporters for POD submission and delivery status.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Diploma holders with relevant warehouse experience may also be considered.

Experience

• 3 to 6 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, dispatch, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
