Job summary

Kaynes Technology seeks an experienced SMT shift supervisor to manage production lines, ensure quality, and meet delivery targets. You will monitor screen printers, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, and AOI systems, while maintaining 5S practices and safety standards.

You will coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Engineering to resolve issues, improve line efficiency, and train operators on process parameters and documentation.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics or related field.
• Experience in SMT production operations in electronics assembly.
• Strong knowledge of SMT equipment and process parameters.
• Capable of CAPA and root cause analysis with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage SMT shift operations to hit production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor and optimize SMT machines including screen printers, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, and AOI.
• Ensure adherence to process params, stencil control, solder paste, ESD/MSD/FOD requirements.
• Track downtime, line efficiency, utilization, and losses; drive corrective actions.

• Maintain production records, 5S, safety, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage SMT shift operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor and optimize SMT machines, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems.
• Ensure adherence to process parameters, stencil control, solder paste management, ESD, MSD, and FOD requirements.
• Monitor machine downtime, line efficiency, utilization, and production losses; implement corrective actions.
• Analyze SMT defects, rejections, and rework; drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC, and Engineering teams to resolve production and process issues.
• Ensure optimal manpower utilization, operator training, shift allocation, and effective shift handovers.
• Maintain production records, process documentation, 5S, safety, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE / B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 510 years of experience in SMT production operations within the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of SMT machines, including Screen Printers, Pick-and-Place Machines, Reflow Ovens and AOI systems.
• Hands-on experience in SMT process parameters, stencil control, solder paste management, ESD, MSD and FOD requirements.
• Experience in machine downtime monitoring, line efficiency, defect analysis, root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Good understanding of production planning, manpower utilization, shift management and process documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Engineering teams to achieve production targets.
• Strong troubleshooting, team handling and problem-solving skills.
