Qualifications

• 8-12 years of SMT manufacturing experience.

• Leadership in high-volume electronics production.
• Experience with production planning, line setup, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SMT production to meet targets, quality, and delivery.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities.
• Drive productivity, process optimization and efficiency initiatives.
• Utilize manpower, machines, materials efficiently.
• Monitor KPIs: yield, OEE, downtime, and rejection rates.
• Oversee SMT programming, setup, and changeovers.
• Ensure PCB assembly: solder paste printing, placement, reflow, SPI, AOI.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain.
• Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement.
• Ensure ESD, safety, and quality procedures.
• Lead, train and develop production teams.
• Prepare production reports and dashboards.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager SMT (Surface Mount Technology) to lead and manage SMT manufacturing operations at our Kundli plant. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring the efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials..

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SMT production operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities in line with business requirements.
• Drive productivity improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and other production resources.
• Monitor production KPIs, including yield, OEE, machine downtime, rejection rates, and overall productivity.
• Oversee SMT machine programming, setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting to minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure proper execution of PCB assembly processes, including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow soldering, SPI, and AOI inspection.
• Identify root causes of production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ensure adherence to ESD standards, workplace safety requirements, and applicable quality procedures.
• Lead, train, mentor, and develop production teams to improve performance and accountability.
• Prepare and review production reports, performance dashboards, and process improvement plans.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience in SMT manufacturing operations, preferably within the consumer electronics or electronics manufacturing industry.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SMT production processes, PCB assembly, reflow soldering, AOI, and SPI.
• Experience in SMT machine programming, production planning, line setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Proven experience managing high-volume electronics manufacturing operations.
• Good understanding of production KPIs, OEE, yield improvement, downtime reduction, and rejection control.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functionally and deliver production targets within defined quality and delivery timelines.
