Electrohms in Bengaluru seeks a senior manufacturing leader to drive the greenfield plant setup and oversee the existing large-scale facility. You will set strategic direction for manufacturing, technology deployment, and resource planning.

Lead world‑class practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost, build high‑performing teams, and coordinate with engineering, design and supply chain to ensure manufacturing readiness for new products.

Qualifications

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the greenfield setup of the manufacturing plant.
• Oversee operations of the existing large-scale manufacturing facility in Bangalore.
• Provide strategic direction for all manufacturing activities, including technology deployment, plant infrastructure, operational design, and resource planning.
• Establish and institutionalise world‑class manufacturing practices, driving efficiency, quality, and cost optimisation.
• Build and lead high-performing teams; provide direction to managerial staff heading individual plant/unit operations.
• Develop and execute long-term capacity expansion plans aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with global leadership, engineering, design, and supply chain functions to ensure manufacturing readiness for new product introductions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, etc.) across all units.
• Ensure compliance with global EHS standards and local statutory norms.
• Prepare and manage CAPEX budgets and ensure timely execution of plant setup projects.
• Report regularly to the board and investors on manufacturing KPIs and strategic milestones.
• Production Planning-Planning of Materials, Personnel, Capacity, Equipment & Machinery.
• Manage the production assembly line/unit efficiently.
• Preparation of W/P, Rejection reports, Preparation, and Presentation of Charts.
• Product manufacturing process documentation.
• Analysis of line rejections and implementation of corrective actions.
• Preparation of Quality Plan and Compliance with ISO Requirements.
• Training the Operators in Soldering, ESD Awareness and best practices, Testing.
• Special Process Coordinator for soldering and encapsulation, quality plan/control plan, work instructions are prepared for the special process, along with process and operator validation and updation of skill matrix according to validation.
• Manage all activities related to SMT and THT assembly machines, equipment, tools, jigs, fixtures, and processes.
• Ensure efficient organization and smooth operation of SMT, THT, and manual soldering processes in production.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with quality standards, technological requirements, and the schedule.
• Collaborate with engineering, testing, supply chain, and quality departments to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in the launch of new products and the optimization of production processes.
• Support root cause analysis, analyse processes, and implement best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Responsible for the department budget, follow up and responsible for managing and controlling the purchasing of the department.
• Process documentation development, including work instructions, training guides, and internal quality standards.
• Introduction of Kanban systems.
• Productivity improvement plans & focus on cycle time reduction.
• Focus on automation of the process, Poka-Yoke methods to introduce foolproof methods.
• Introduction of Jigs & fixtures to ease the process.
• Maintaining disciplined & healthy work culture.
• Deep drive Knowledge on special processes like soldering & encapsulation.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC 610 H standard & certified IPC 610H specialist.
• THT - to be indicated as PTH.
• Setting of KRAS for the second level, monitoring & guiding to achieve.
• Training for the second level / Supervisors to increase their levels.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
• Supervise and ensure effective employee relations:
• Hire and train skilled operators, technicians, workers, and other support personnel.
• Provides employee coaching and development opportunities.
• Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
