Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced ServiceNow SAM specialist to drive end-to-end software asset lifecycle management and license compliance.

You will build integrations with SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Flexera, and CMDB/ITAM systems, develop dashboards, and support audits, with a focus on automation and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro implementation experience.
• Strong software licensing knowledge across major publishers.
• Experience integrating inventory, discovery, procurement, contracts and CMDB/ITAM with ServiceNow via REST/SOAP.
• Ability to build dashboards, compliance reports, and audit evidence packs; identify optimization opportunities and cost savings.
• Good-to-have: ServiceNow certifications (CSA preferred, CIS-SAM beneficial).
• Good-to-have: ITIL Foundation knowledge to align SAM with ITSM workflows.
• Good-to-have: Agile/Scrum delivery experience for iterative development.

• Configure and customize ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro to support end-to-end software asset lifecycle management and license compliance.
• Implement and optimize normalization, software models, entitlements, and reconciliation processes.
• Build and maintain integrations with inventory, discovery, procurement, contract, and CMDB/ITAM systems, including monitoring and error handling.
• Develop dashboards, compliance reports, and audit evidence packs; support stakeholders during audits.
• Drive automation for reclamation, renewal workflows, and policy-based controls; provide production support and documentation.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

1. ServiceNow SAM / SAM Pro implementation expertise – Hands-on experience in software models, entitlements, normalization, reclamation, and reconciliation to establish accurate compliance positions.

2. Strong software licensing knowledge – Solid understanding of license metrics, contracts, compliance concepts, and audit-readiness practices across major software publishers.

4. Integration and data-source experience – Experience integrating SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Flexera, procurement/ERP systems, and CMDB/ITAM data sources with ServiceNow using REST/SOAP and platform best practices.

5. Reporting, compliance, and optimization focus – Ability to create dashboards, compliance reports, and audit evidence packs while identifying optimization opportunities and cost savings.

Good-to-Have

1. ServiceNow certifications – CSA is preferred, and CIS-SAM is a strong advantage for candidates expected to contribute to mature SAM implementations.

2. ITIL Foundation knowledge – Good understanding of IT service management concepts helps align SAM processes with broader operational workflows.

3. Agile / Scrum delivery experience – Prior experience in Agile teams is beneficial for iterative development, testing, documentation, and production support.
