About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Platform Developer to support and enhance our ServiceNow platform as part of the ServiceNow Support Service team.

The Platform Developer will be responsible for expanding and improving the functionality of the ServiceNow platform through configuration, scripting, application development, workflow automation, and solution design. The candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver sustainable, scalable, and low-error solutions following Agile development principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and enhance the ServiceNow platform based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform updates and enhancements to:
  • Lists and forms
  • Navigation panes
  • Views and view definitions
  • Templates
  • Tables and fields
• Design and implement effective and sustainable ServiceNow solutions.
• Develop scripts and automation within the ServiceNow platform.
• Create and customize ServiceNow applications based on business requirements.
• Configure and develop workflows and other platform functionalities.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate ServiceNow technical solutions.
• Follow ServiceNow development best practices and Agile principles.
• Troubleshoot issues and identify practical solutions with a focus on long-term sustainability.
• Collaborate with customers, business users, and technical teams to understand their needs.
• Challenge existing approaches when appropriate and recommend better or more efficient solutions.
• Explain ServiceNow concepts and technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure development activities follow quality standards and minimize errors and technical debt.
• Support continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform and related processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
• Strong experience in ServiceNow System Administration Mandatory.
• Training/certification or strong practical knowledge in ServiceNow Development or Architecture Mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in ServiceNow scripting and application development Mandatory.
• Good understanding of ServiceNow configuration and customization.
• Experience with forms, lists, views, tables, fields, templates, and navigation configuration.
• Experience in workflow development and automation.
• Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow development experience across multiple modules/applications.
• Experience with ServiceNow workflows and automation.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices and sustainable coding practices.
• Experience working with business stakeholders or customers.
• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, or relevant ServiceNow certifications would be an advantage.
