Job summary

ecolab is seeking a ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations. The role requires hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, following best practices and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong JavaScript and REST/SOAP skills, ITSM/CMDB expertise, and experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and ITOM.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs and integrations (server-side and client-side).
• In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture.
• Experience with Finance Management and MCO processes (Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash lifecycle, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable).
• Familiarity with CMDB, Discovery, and ITSM.
• Experience with ITOM and HRSD is a plus.
• Understanding of ACLs, roles, and security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions using best practices.
• Customize ServiceNow applications using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer with advanced coding skills.
• Develop and maintain modules such as ITSM, CSM, MCO, Finance Management, and Employee Centre.
• Build and support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.
• Create and manage Service Catalog items, workflows, Flow Designer, ETL, Integration Hub, and DataFabric/Zero Copy Connectors.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of platform issues.
• Support platform upgrades, patches, and releases.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Follow SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and change management processes.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions using best practices

• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and ATF (Automated Test Framework)
