Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in AI/LLM/Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform and its AI/ML capabilities.
• Experience designing Now Assist skills, prompts, and RAG-based solutions.
• Experience building AI Agents and agentic workflows with guardrails and multi-step automation.
• Experience architecting MCP servers to securely expose ServiceNow data to external AI models.
• Hands-on experience building Claude skills and connectors for AI-driven ServiceNow actions.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Python skills; knowledge of REST APIs, authentication, databases, and system design.
• Preferred: ServiceNow CSA/CAD certifications, MCP ecosystem exposure, and Performance Analytics.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy Generative AI solutions on the ServiceNow platform – our Customer Success Platform. In this role, you will partner with product owners, platform teams, and process stakeholders to translate real operational needs into reliable, secure, and measurable AI capabilities—spanning Now Assist skills, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows.

You will own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle: discovery and solution design; implementation and integration across ServiceNow workspaces, portals, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub; evaluation and tuning; and production hardening with guardrails, observability, and cost/latency controls. You will also contribute to reusable patterns and reference architectures (including MCP servers and connectors) that expose ServiceNow data and actions to external AI models while meeting enterprise security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Success in this role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, a pragmatic approach to experimentation, and the ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will help establish best practices for responsible AI adoption on the platform and mentor others through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying Now Assist skills, domain‑specific prompts, and RAG‑based solutions.
• Proven ability to build AI Agents and agentic workflows, including orchestration, guardrails, and multi‑step automation.
• Experience architecting MCP servers to securely expose ServiceNow data, workflows, and APIs to external AI models.
• Hands‑on experience building Claude skills and connectors to enable AI‑driven ServiceNow actions (record creation, case triage, data retrieval).
• Ability to integrate AI features into ServiceNow workspaces, portals, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and custom applications.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python, with good knowledge of REST APIs, authentication/authorization, databases, and system design.
• Preferred: ServiceNow CSA/CAD certifications, exposure to MCP ecosystem, and Performance Analytics.
