Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a mid-level Service Operations professional to lead end-to-end delivery of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects, ensuring safety, profitability and on-time execution in line with customer and EHS requirements.

You will handle high-voltage equipment service, coordinate with cross-functional teams across India, travel as needed, and leverage Power BI and Excel to monitor performance, generate reports, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in EHV Switchgear, Circuit Breakers or power transmission equipment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in service operation.
• Proficiency in Power BI, MS Excel and service management tools.
• Experience handling domestic and international service assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects, ensuring safe, profitable and on-time delivery in compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.
• Handle service complaint of EHV Circuit Breakers (72.5 kV to 800 kV) from domestic and international customers.
• Ensure timely response, registration, tracking and closure of customer complaints and service requests.
• Manage installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency breakdown support activities.
• Provide advanced technical guidance for fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and implement action plans to improve CSI.
• Prepare, review and approve service reports, method statements, technical assessments, and RCA reports.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Order Management, and Sales teams to resolve customer issues.
• Utilize Power BI and other digital tools for service performance monitoring, reporting, and trend analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and customer requirements during all service activities.
• Manage escalations from key customers and ensure timely closure of critical issues.
• Resource planning, tools and equipment requirements for service operations.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the service organization.
• Ensure readiness of service resources for emergency site interventions.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in EHV Switchgear, Circuit Breakers or power transmission equipment.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in service operation.
• Expertise in installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage equipment.
• Sound understanding of control circuits, schematic drawings, SLDs, interlocking logic and substation operations.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring, diagnostic testing and reliability improvement techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency in Power BI, MS Excel and service management tools.
• Excellent communication, customer handling and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience handling domestic and international service assignments.
• Willingness to travel extensively across India and overseas for customer support.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
