Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a Business Development professional for High Voltage products across GIS/AIS, Spare Parts, Field Services, Retrofit, Refurbishment, and related services in the Northern region of India.

The role requires BE in Electrical Engineering with up to 5 years’ experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. The position involves shift work and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Up to 5 years in relevant roles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good understanding of EHS regulations and practices.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge for process optimization and waste elimination.
• Proven leadership abilities to motivate and guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control, and monitor daily/monthly testing plans aligned with targets.
• Organize testing area, allocate staff, workflows, materials, and procedures.
• Lead customer inspections and FAT for domestic and international customers.
• Ensure documentation, audits, and regulatory compliance are met.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with support functions.
• Lead improvements to processes, safety, and product quality.

Job description

Will be responsible for Business development of High Voltage products which includes GIS/AIS Spare Parts -Accessories, Field Services, HV Circuit breaker Retrofit, Refurbishment, Substation Modifications, uprating, GIS / AIS Bay Extensions, Planned Maintenance and Inspection, Reactive Maintenance and Repairs, Operation and Maintenance-O&M, Project Services, Transformers and Digital Services in the Northern region of India.

How You'll Make an Impact

Planning & Control

• Develop and monitor daily and monthly testing plans aligned with production turnover targets.
• Organize, monitor, and control the testing area, including employee allocation, workflows, materials, tools, and adherence to procedures to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Customer Inspection & FAT

• Lead and manage customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for both domestic and international customers.
• Ensure smooth coordination with customers and internal stakeholders to meet technical, quality, and scheduling expectations.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain all process level documentation, records, and reports in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Handle internal and external ISO audits, including documentation, process compliance, and employee training activities.

Technical & Team Support

• Provide technical guidance to technicians; coordinate responses to technical and quality related queries.
• Collaborate with support functions to resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor workstation KPIs and initiate corrective or preventive actions when required.
• Conduct daily/regular meetings with team members to review operational status, safety concerns, and quality matters.
• Participate in Gemba meetings, Quality Gemba, 5S audits, and Safety meetings.
• Lead, plan, and support the training and development of employees; maintain skill matrices and development plans.
• Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and conduct growth discussions.
• Lead and execute improvement projects aimed at enhancing processes, safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Work Flexibility

• Must be willing to work in all three shifts (morning, evening, and night) on a weekly rotation schedule.

What You Bring

• Education: B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Up to 5 years of relevant experience demonstrating successful execution of the responsibilities outlined in this profile.
• Communication: Strong professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate within the facility.
• EHS Knowledge: Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
• Lean Manufacturing: Advanced knowledge of lean principles for process optimization and waste elimination.
• Leadership: Proven ability to motivate, engage, and guide teams to achieve organizational goals.

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA). We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology.
