Job summary

Siemens Energy India is seeking an Electrical Engineer for end-to-end GIS/AIS substation projects in India and abroad. You will lead engineering activities, prepare SLDs and 3D models, and support drawing approvals with the Order Execution team.

The role requires hands-on experience in substation design and proficiency in Excel and CAD tools. You will contribute to multiple projects within a dynamic, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineer with Diploma (6–8 years) or Graduate (4–6 years) or Master (2–4 years).
• Experience in design and engineering for AIS/GIS substations.
• Proficient with Excel and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, Primtech).

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing engineering activities and end-to-end substation delivery.
• Prepare GIS GAS SLD, plan and section views for customer submission.
• Create 3D models of GIS substations using Primtech/AutoCAD.
• Provide technical support to Order Execution for drawing approvals.
• Prepare construction drawings and earthing proposals for GIS substations.
• Prepare data sheets and GTPs for customer orders.
• Work on multiple substations in India and abroad.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects, ensuring safe, profitable and on-time delivery in compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.

How You'll Make an Impact

• You’ll be handling all Customer interface primary engineering activities.
• You’ll be preparing GIS GAS SLD, Plan and Section View for Customer Submission.
• You’ll be preparing 3D Model of GIS substation using A-CAD based PLM tool (Primtech).
• You’ll be working for multiple projects / substations in India and abroad.
• You’ll be providing technical Support to Order Execution team for Drawing Approval.
• You’ll be preparing Constructional drawing and Earthing proposal for GIS substation.
• You’ll be preparing Data Sheet / GTP for Customer specific order.
• You’ll be working for High Voltage Manufacturing Hub.

What You Bring

• You are an Electrical Engineer (Diploma with 6-8 years of work experience / Graduate with 4-6 years of work experience / Master with 2-4 years of work experience)
• You have hands-on experience in design and engineering for Substations (Air Insulated Substation / Gas Insulated Substation).
• You are proficient with Microsoft Excel and well versed with 3D CAD tools like AutoCAD, Primtech etc.
• You've sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of international and Indian standards.
• You've hands on design experience for multiple projects in substation design and have deep understanding of customer specification for several customers.

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA). We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology.
