Job summary

SMEC Automation in Kerala, India seeks a Marine Service Engineer – Automation, Electrical & Control Systems to work hands-on across vessels, shipyards and marine projects.

The role covers installation, testing, commissioning and servicing of marine automation and electrical control systems, along with troubleshooting, PLC support and documentation. Willingness to travel to vessels and sites is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical/electronics/instrumentation or related field
• 2–5 years in marine automation, electrical, controls or offshore projects
• Freshers may apply for training opportunities
• Willingness to travel for vessel and site assignments

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission and service marine automation and control systems
• Troubleshoot faults onboard vessels and at shipyards
• Provide PLC/control system and electrical service support
• Coordinate with clients, OEMs and project teams
• Prepare technical documentation and service reports

We’re hiring Service Engineers to join SMEC Automation's marine team and work hands-on across vessels, shipyards and marine/offshore projects.

The Role

• Installation, testing, commissioning & servicing of marine automation, electrical and control systems
• Troubleshooting & fault finding onboard vessels and at shipyards
• PLC/control system and electrical service support
• Coordination with clients, OEMs and project teams
• Technical documentation and service reporting

Who Can Apply

Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or related fields

Experience: 2–5 years in marine automation, electrical, controls, shipbuilding, ship repair or offshore projects

Freshers: May also apply and can be considered for training opportunities.

Candidates should be willing to travel for vessel and site assignments.
