Service engineer - Chiller Referigeration

Job summary

Sone India is seeking a field service engineer to install, demonstrate, calibrate and service our laboratory equipment across client sites in Maharashtra. You will manage breakdowns, coordinate with HO and reporting managers, and ensure timely maintenance and spare parts handling.

The role requires travel readiness, strong communication in Hindi and regional languages, and knowledge of sensors and calibration methods for temperature, pH, humidity, pressure, gases, and clean room processes.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel intensively across sites.
• Good communication in Hindi and regional languages.
• Understanding of lab instrumentation and calibration basics.
• ITI/ Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Biomedical or Instrumentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment at client sites and provide product demonstrations.
• Explain pros/cons for maintenance and schedule calibrations.
• Attend breakdown, service, calibration, and lab shifting calls.
• Escalate unresolved issues to reporting manager/HO.
• Coordinate PO, invoice, and payment updates with HO and customers.
• Promote filters, spares, and new equipment per customer needs.
• Send faulty spares to HO with FIR documentation.
• Maintain and verify stock lists with HO/Zonal Manager.
• Ensure analyzers calibrated per recommended intervals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all product lines.
• Coordinate with customers on equipment issues and readiness.
• Interact regularly with customers on service and spare needs.
• Submit daily reports of completed service to HO and manager.
• Generate revenue through AMC, service calls, calibration and spare sales.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Installation of all equipment.
• Provide demo for the installed product and inform about pros and cons for maintenance of it.
• Attend breakdown/service/calibration/lab shifting calls.
• Escalate service complaints/repair issues to reporting manager/HO if the issue is not resolved at site.
• Follow up with HO/Customers for PO/Invoice/Payment on a regular basis and update the Zonal Manager.
• Promote filters/other spares/new equipment as per the customers' requirement in lab.
• Send faulty spare to HO with respective FIR.
• Maintain stock in hand list regularly and get verified with HO/Zonal Manager regularly.
• Maintain proper schedule to get analyzers calibrated as per recommended intervals.
• Update yourself with complete knowledge of all the products.
• Coordinate with customers regarding issues with equipment or lab readiness for installation.
• Interacting with customers on a regular basis related to service queries and requirement of spares, service support, etc.
• Send the reports of job done to HO and the reporting manager on a daily basis.
• Generating revenue by way of AMC, service calls, calibration and spare sales.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be ready for intense traveling.
• Good communication skills in Hindi and the regional languages.
• Candidate should have knowledge about: temperature, pH, humidity, pressure, vacuum, gases CO2, O2, humidity, clean room calibration dop, voc, particle count, etc.
• Knowledge about biology microscope, HVAC, autoclaves will be an added advantage.
• ITI/Diploma in electrical / electronic / Biomedical / Instrumentation.
