Job summary

Propack Technologies is seeking a proactive Service Engineer to lead on-site installation and commissioning of pharmaceutical machinery. You will coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and successful project completion.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge, strong communication, and willingness to travel to customer sites for installation and service activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics or ITI Fitter required.
• 14 years of relevant experience in installation and commissioning, field service or machinery servicing.
• Experience in pharmaceutical machinery or industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation and commissioning of pharmaceutical machinery at customer locations.
• Attend FAT with customers and resolve identified points before dispatch.
• Travel to customer sites as per installation schedule and coordinate activities.
• Supervise machinery shifting, unpacking, positioning, and installation at sites.
• Coordinate with customers for resources, utilities, and arrangements during installation.
• Prepare and submit daily site visit reports, weekly reports, and monthly service reports.

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Service Engineer to handle on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of pharmaceutical processing machinery. The candidate will coordinate with customers and internal departments to ensure smooth installation, timely resolution of technical issues, and successful completion of service activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation and commissioning of pharmaceutical machinery at customer locations.
• Ensure timely completion and closure of work orders related to installation and commissioning.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers and ensure all identified points are resolved before dispatch.
• Travel to customer sites as per the installation schedule.
• Coordinate with customers to understand the scope of work and plan installation activities.
• Supervise machinery shifting, unpacking, positioning, and installation at customer sites.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure the availability of necessary arrangements, utilities, and resources for installation.
• Follow up with internal departments for pending materials, spare parts, and other installation requirements.
• Coordinate with Design and Quality Assurance teams to resolve technical and documentation-related issues.
• Communicate with customers before and after scheduled site visits to ensure smooth service execution.
• Prepare and submit daily site visit reports, weekly reports, and monthly service reports within the prescribed timelines.
• Regularly update the reporting manager and HOD on site progress, pending issues, and installation status.
• Identify additional spare parts requirements and coordinate with the concerned department for further action.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required Skills

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, or ITI Fitter.
• 14 years of relevant experience in installation and commissioning, field service, or machinery servicing.
• Experience in pharmaceutical machinery, industrial equipment, or manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable with on-site work and customer coordination.
