Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. in Mumbai seeks a field-based service engineer responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and service support of BMS, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, and other ELV/security solutions.

You will ensure system uptime, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• / Must have knowledge of Building Management Systems and associated fire and security systems.
• / Reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• / Understanding AMC operations and service processes.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and maintain BMS and integrated systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and perform repair for control, fire, CCTV, access and security systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance and attend service calls within SLA.
• Generate service reports and keep site documentation up to date.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors and internal teams for issue resolution.
• Support AMC/FMC projects and identify system upgrade opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and safety standards during field activities.

Job Summary

Responsible for installation, testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and service support of Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems, and other ELV/security solutions. The role requires ensuring system uptime, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of: Building Management Systems (BMS) Fire Alarm Systems CCTV Surveillance Systems Access Control Systems Intrusion Alarm Systems Public Address & Voice Evacuation Systems
• Diagnose and rectify faults in control, fire, and security systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities at customer sites.
• Attend service calls and ensure timely resolution within SLA commitments.
• Generate service reports, maintenance records, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution.
• Support AMC/FMC projects and recommend system upgrades where required.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and company safety standards during field activities.
• Conduct customer training on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spares, and site materials.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of: Building Management Systems (BMS) Fire Detection & Alarm Systems CCTV & Video Management Systems Access Control & Security Systems PLC/SCADA fundamentals Networking basics (IP addressing, switches, routers)
• Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.
• Knowledge of AMC operations and service processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or related discipline.
• 2-8 years of experience in Controls, Fire & Security systems service and maintenance.
