Johnson Controls in Mumbai seeks a Service Engineer responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of BMS, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and ELV/security systems. Job Summary The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems, CCTV Surveillance Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and other ELV/Security solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise, customer interaction skills, and the ability to ensure system uptime and compliance with safety standards.
Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire & Security Systems. Diagnose and resolve faults in fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, and control systems. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per service schedules. Attend service calls and ensure timely closure of customer complaints. Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and documentation. Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams for project execution and service delivery. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures. Support system upgrades, modifications, and integration activities. Provide technical training and guidance to customers when required. Participate in on-call support and emergency breakdown response.
Knowledge of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems. Experience with CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, and ELV Systems. Understanding of Control Systems, BMS, and PLC basics is preferred. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with safety standards and statutory compliance requirements.
Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, or related discipline. Relevant certifications in Fire & Security Systems are an advantage. Experience 2 to 6 years of experience in installation, commissioning, or servicing of Fire, Security, ELV, or Building Automation Systems.
