Job summary

ZwickRoell in India is seeking a Service Engineer to deliver on-site maintenance and calibration services for materials testing machines. You will coordinate with service planners, prepare calibration certificates, and ensure timely reporting and invoicing, while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The role requires travel, independent work, and proficiency in English and Hindi, with German knowledge advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automation/Instrumentation engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in servicing materials testing machines.
• Willing to travel to attend customer complaints.
• Proficiency with PC software and MS Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance visits for Annual Maintenance Contract orders.
• Calibrate ZwickRoell machines at customer sites and prepare calibration certificates.
• Submit service reports and checklists for invoicing and planning.
• Analyze faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
• Use CRM to manage service jobs and update customers on status.

Job description

The Service Engineer will provide the best and timely services to the customers to create a seamless experience and provide passionate customer orientation. The Service Engineer will take care of calibration and annual maintenance contract services of ZwickRoell products. The Service Engineer will work independently, utilizing training and experience to determine the best course of action to provide the best solutions to satisfy the customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Performing regular maintenance visits for Annual Maintenance Contract orders.
• Calibration of ZwickRoell make machines and instruments at customer site.
• Prepare calibration certificates and submit the same to the customer on time and according to standards.
• Timely submission of service reports and checklists to the service planner for invoicing to customers.
• Analysing faults / failures with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components .
• Determining nature and scope of fault / damage and advising customer with the proper follow-up procedures for procuring spare parts or arranging warranty replacement parts in accordance with commercial considerations.
• Follow-up with Service sales executive regularly for on-time submission of offers for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and calibration proposals for renewal
• Advising customers regularly for spares & consumables of the machines and instruments for smooth operations.
• Follow up with Service sales executive for timely submission of spares, consumables and accessory proposals to the customer.
• Planning of customer visits in consultation with service planner.
• Utilize the CRM system to actively manage all service jobs.
• Continuously develop and maintain knowledge and expertise of the ZwickRoell Product Portfolio and Applications to enhance confidence and service effectiveness
• Submission of installation and calibration checklist to the service planners.

Education, Experience & Requirements

Education

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Automation / Instrumentation )

Experience

• 0-3 years of experience in servicing of materials testing machines and instruments.
• Working experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing would be advantageous.
