Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Service Engineer – CFS in India to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot building automation, fire detection and suppression, and electronic security systems. You will ensure system reliability, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction through timely service delivery.

Requires 2–5 years in Fire & Safety, CCTV/Access Control, or Building Automation. Strong troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, and PLC/BMS knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma orBachelor’s in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in Fire & Safety Systems, Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control), Building Automation/Controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot building automation, fire detection & suppression, and electronic security systems.
• Ensure system reliability and safety compliance with NFPA/NBC/local regulations.
• Provide customer support and interface with clients to resolve issues within SLAs.

What you will do:

The Service Engineer – CFS is responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems, fire detection & suppression systems, and electronic security systems. The role ensures system reliability, compliance with safety standards, and high customer satisfaction through timely service delivery.

What we look for:

1. Installation & Commissioning

Install and commission systems such as:

Building Management Systems (BMS) / PLC-based control systems

Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Fire Suppression systems

CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm Systems

Conduct system testing and ensure proper integration

Validate performance as per technical and safety standards

2. Maintenance & Servicing

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems

Conduct periodic inspections and system health checks

Ensure minimal downtime through proactive maintenance

3. Troubleshooting & Fault Resolution

Diagnose issues in control panels, sensors, wiring, and field devices

Troubleshoot PLCs, controllers, fire panels, and security devices

Execute timely repairs and escalat complex issues when required

4. Customer Support

Interface with clients to understand issues and provide solutions

Ensure adherence to SLAs and service timelines

Provide user training and system guidance

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records

Update service activities in CRM/ERP tools

Track spare parts and inventory usage

6. Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with fire safety standards (NFPA / NBC / local regulations)

Adhere to company safety protocols during service activities

Participate in audits and inspections

Required Qualifications
