Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Service Engineer in India to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support ELV and security systems including Access Control, CCTV, FAS, and BMS. The role requires hands-on experience, strong technical knowledge, and client-facing problem-solving abilities.

The candidate will read schematics, configure servers, and coordinate with customers to deliver timely resolutions while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years hands-on experience in Access Control, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Server installation and Building Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Access Control, CCTV, FAS, and BMS.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in security and automation systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per service schedules.
• Configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and system software related to security platforms.
• Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime for client installations.
• Coordinate with customers to understand service requirements and provide timely resolutions.
• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Support system upgrades, expansions, and migration activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and training to end users when required.

What you will do

Job Summary

• Good knowledge of networking concepts, IP addressing, switches, and routers.
• Experience with system integration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
