Qualitest is seeking Service Desk Engineers to support employees with computer hardware and software related issues. The role involves assisting with hardware installation, software setup and upgrades, system integrations, and general IT support activities in an office environment.
You will contribute to delivering IT services across the organization while working with modern technology platforms within a global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a central communication point within the IT team and maintain service support plans.
- Communicate the business impact of major incidents and prioritize support actions accordingly.
- Assess the impact of system, application, and infrastructure changes to determine support requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking services such as DHCP, DNS, and related devices.
- Support day‑to‑day server environment operations including proactive monitoring and system management.
- Handle escalated support issues and coordinate with software vendors for technical assistance.
- Respond to client support requests and identify the nature of reported issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and connectivity problems.
- Install and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, operating systems, and applications.
- Provide guidance on hardware or software upgrades and offer basic user training when required.
Candidate Profile
- Comfortable working in high‑availability environments and following ITIL processes.
- Experience collaborating within agile teams to solve technical challenges.
- Ability to work independently toward defined goals and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong time management and interpersonal abilities.
- Up‑to‑date technical knowledge through continuous learning and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with common operating systems, enterprise applications, and remote connection tools.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
- Willingness to travel or work outside regular hours if required.
