Role & responsibilities

A Senior Test Engineer i is responsible for ensuring that software applications function as intended by validating features, workflows, and business processes against defined requirements. The role focuses on delivering high-quality releases through thorough functional, automation, API and database testing, particularly within web-based, mobile and aviation-related applications (e.g., dispatcher systems).

The engineer is expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality. This role requires effective collaboration with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, along with the ability to work independently.

The position also requires hands-on experience in web and mobile application automation using Appium, Playwright, TypeScript, and BrowserStack, along with experience working with automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with API tools (Swagger/Postman), browser debugging tools (DevTools), and basic SQL is also required to support efficient test execution and defect analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other test engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and clarify ambiguities.
• Design, create, and maintain test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and well-structured test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, edge, and domain-specific conditions.
• Perform end-to-end testing activities, including functional, regression, exploratory, and automation testing.
• Identify appropriate test scenarios for automation and develop and maintain automation scripts for web and mobile applications.
• Work with existing automation frameworks using Appium, Playwright, and TypeScript, following automation best practices.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines, maintain test code using Git/version control, and generate clear test execution reports using appropriate test reporting tools.
• Plan and execute cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent behaviour across supported web browsers, mobile devices, and operating systems.
