Job summary

Version 1 in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and implement automated tests across web applications. You will own building and maintaining automation frameworks using Playwright or similar tools, contribute to API, integration, and UI testing, and work within an Agile team.

You should be proficient with Git, CI/CD (Jenkins/CircleCI), Docker/Kubernetes, and modern languages (Java, JavaScript, Python or C#).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manual and automation QA with strong automation focus
• Recent 3+ years hands-on with Playwright
• Experience building automation frameworks and implementing automated tests
• Strong understanding of Agile terms and practices (Scrum, sprints, backlog, velocity)
• Experience delivering cross-browser, API, integration, and UI tests
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#
• Experience with Selenium/WebDriver/JUnit and other testing frameworks
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs
• Excellent database testing skills (writing queries, joins)
• Experience with test scope, user stories, and automation code reviews
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and testing tools like Postman

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests across client applications
• Build and maintain automation frameworks for frontend and backend testing
• Deliver overnight, cross-browser, functional, API and integration tests
• Collaborate in Agile teams and participate in backlog refinement
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Perform test case reviews and automation code reviews
• Work with SQL databases and RESTful services for end-to-end validation
• Contribute to performance and non-functional testing as needed
• Support and mentor junior QA engineers

Role & responsibilities

• Total 7+years of manual + Automation QA experience, out of which 3 years of recent working experience in Playwright
• Hands-on experience on creating automation framework and Implementation.
• Working in Agile and deep understanding of Agile working and understanding of agile terms (Velocity, Burndown, Scrum, Sprint, Product backlog and Sprint Backlog, Retro, story points etc)
• Strong testing concepts in different types of testing, their dependencies and stages
• Demonstrated experience of Automated Quality Assurance: Deliver overnight, cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration and acceptance tests.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Experience in Test scope understanding, Test UserStory/Task/subtask creation
• Experience in Test case review and automation code review
• Good understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Delivered front end cross-browser automated functional testing, exploratory, systems integration and user acceptance testing.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Confident with building and maintaining frameworks in one or more of these languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#
• Experience with other test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, WebDriver, JUnit).
• Any performance testing experience or other non-functional testing experience would be added advantage.
• Testing Tools and Technologies: Appium, Docker, Kubernetes, Postman, Jenkins, Java, Eclipse / IntelliJ IDEA, Linux, TestNG, Selenium, SQL
• Very good Database testing experience, writing queries, views, joins etc.

Preferred candidate profile

You may have been working as a Senior Software Engineer in Test, Senior Test Engineer or Test Analyst who is confident in their ability performing automation testing. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests using various tools for client applications
