Job summary

Aaxis Infotel in Pune is seeking an experienced Manual Tester with 4+ years to join our QA team. The role focuses on manual testing with some automation exposure, testing web and mobile apps, and using Selenium WebDriverIO, TypeScript, and Node.js.

You will design test scenarios, execute tests, report defects in Jira, and contribute to Agile ceremonies while enhancing QA processes and exploring AI tools for test optimization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on manual/software testing experience.
• Strong SDLC, STLC, test methodologies and defect lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience designing/executing test cases for web and mobile apps.
• Familiar with defect tracking and test management tools, preferably Jira.
• Working knowledge of API testing (Postman).

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manual Tester with 4+ years of experience in software testing. The role is primarily focused on manual testing, with some exposure to test automation preferred. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing web and mobile applications and a working understanding of Selenium WebDriverIO, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse functional and business requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications.
• Execute test cases across different environments and validate application behaviour against requirements.
• Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through resolution using tools such as Jira.
• Perform basic API testing and validate data using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Develop, execute, and maintain basic automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriverIO.
• Execute automation suites, analyse failures, and collaborate with developers to identify underlying issues.
• Maintain QA artefacts including test cases, test scenarios, execution reports, automation scripts, and defect logs.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Explore and leverage AI tools relevant to software testing and QA to improve test case creation, test coverage, defect analysis, documentation, and overall testing efficiency.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product quality.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Manual / Software Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test methodologies, and defect life cycle.
• Proven experience in designing and executing test cases for web and/or mobile applications.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools, preferably Jira.
• Working knowledge of API testing, preferably using Postman or similar tools.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Hands-on exposure to Selenium WebDriverIO automation.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Basic understanding or hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Ability to understand, execute, troubleshoot, and make minor enhancements to existing automation scripts.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience using AI tools for software testing or QA activities, with the ability to effectively incorporate AI-assisted tools into day-to-day testing workflows.
