Persistent is seeking an experienced Senior Telecom Protocol Developer in Bengaluru/Hyderabad to design, develop, and optimize LTE and 5G eNodeB/gNodeB software on Linux. The role focuses on NAS and SCTP protocol implementation, protocol troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Ideal candidates bring 7–15 years in telecom software, deep C/Linus skills, and strong knowledge of RRC/S1AP/X2AP/NGAP signaling. Collaboration across cross-functional teams is essential for delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• 7 to 15 years of experience in telecom software development and protocol stack engineering.
• Strong hands-on programming expertise in C within Linux environments.
• In-depth understanding of LTE and 5G RAN architecture and network components.
• Proven experience in NAS (Non-Access Stratum) and SCTP protocol development.
• Strong knowledge of mobile communication protocols and signaling procedures.
• Experience working on eNodeB, gNodeB, or wireless network infrastructure products.
• Expertise in protocol integration, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Strong Linux development experience, including debugging and system-level analysis.
• Knowledge of RRC, S1AP, X2AP, NGAP, and other 4G/5G signaling protocols.
• Experience with packet analysis and protocol troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of telecom network architecture, mobility management, and subscriber signaling flows.
