Persistent Systems in India is seeking a highly skilled C++ Developer with strong LTE/EPC core network expertise, MME development, and telecom protocol implementation. You will develop, enhance, and maintain core network functionalities, including NAS parsing, Diameter signaling, and LTE components.

The role involves designing and implementing protocol improvements, building testing tools, diagnosing traces, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, high-quality telecom

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled C++ Developer with strong expertise in LTE/EPC core network technologies, MME development, and telecom protocol implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining core network functionalities, with a focus on telecom messaging infrastructure, NAS protocols, Diameter signaling, and LTE network components.

What You'll Do:

• Implement protocol enhancements within the Mobility Management Entity (MME).
• Design, develop, and maintain telecom software modules using C/C++.
• Develop NAS message parsing, encoding, and decoding functionalities.
• Build and maintain SGd Diameter message handling features.
• Implement and support Mobile Originated (MO) and Mobile Terminated (MT) messaging workflows.
• Develop simulators, utilities, and testing tools to validate telecom protocol implementations.
• Analyze protocol traces and troubleshoot interoperability issues across network elements.
• Debug complex telecom network issues and provide effective solutions.
• Collaborate with system architects, product teams, and network engineers to enhance telecom products.
• Contribute to performance optimization and scalability improvements of telecom applications.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical solution reviews.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to software design and implementation.
• Support product releases and ensure compliance with telecom standards and requirements.
• Work closely with QA and validation teams to ensure software quality and reliability.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in C/C++ software development.
• Strong expertise in LTE/EPC core network technologies and telecom protocol development.
• Experience working with MME (Mobility Management Entity) components and related network functions.
• Solid understanding of NAS, Diameter, LTE signaling, and telecom messaging protocols.
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, UDP, routing, and communication protocols.
• Experience in protocol stack implementation, enhancement, and maintenance.
• Ability to analyze network traces, protocol logs, and troubleshoot interoperability issues.
• Experience with Linux-based software development environments.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Knowledge of message delivery workflows across telecom network infrastructures.
• Understanding of mobile network architecture and EPC components.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
