Job summary

Ascentforce Services is seeking a senior Tekla detailer in Chennai to drive modeling from drawings to IFC deliverables. You will handle complex steel structures and ensure compatibility with fabrication, erection, and shipping workflows.

The role requires mentoring junior modelers, coordinating with Team Leads, and supporting planning and effort estimation. Based in Chennai, it offers on-site collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Tekla modeling experience.
• Ability to model complex steel structures and connections.
• Excellent understanding of fabrication and erection workflows.
• Proven ownership and accountability for deliverables.
• Ability to mentor junior drafters/modelers.
• Experience on Australian steel detailing projects (2+ years).

Responsibilities

• Lead modeling activities from drawing study through IFA/IFC deliverables.

• Model complex structural and miscellaneous steel systems.
• Ensure models meet fabrication, erection, and shipping requirements.
• Configure project-specific connections, numbering, and drawing extraction.
• Track submitted areas, revisions, and numbering status.
• Coordinate closely with Team Leads and Checkers.

Required Skills & Experience

• 48+ years of hands-on Tekla modeling experience


• Minimum 2 year of Experience on Australian steel detailing projects


• Strong expertise in complex steel modeling and connections


• Excellent understanding of steel fabrication and erection workflows


• High ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability


• Ability to mentor junior modeler
