Job summary

Mavenir is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our telecom-focused operations in Bengaluru. You will use Linux/UNIX expertise, Kubernetes, and shell scripting to maintain high-availability Online Charging Systems and related infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot protocols like HTTP2/REST, Diameter, and SS7, handle incidents, and perform KPI/traffic analysis while collaborating with a skilled team. Shift rotations, including weekends, are required.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in telecom or network services.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Good understanding of HTTP2/REST APIs, Diameter, and SS7 protocols.
• Experience in a customer support environment, preferably in telecom or network services.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and configuration management processes.
• Proficient in English communication, written and spoken.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Online Charging Systems (OCS) and related telecom infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HTTP2/REST, Diameter, and SS7 protocols.
• Perform preventive health checks, monitor network stability, and ensure optimal system performance.
• Handle incident management, including hot and critical issues, and perform KPI and traffic analysis.
• Coordinate configuration and maintenance of business/tariff products and ensure accurate deployment.
• Work collaboratively with a team of engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, as per business requirements.

Role Summary

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and Shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Good understanding of HTTP2/REST APIs, Diameter, and SS7 protocols.
• Experience in a customer support environment, preferably in telecom or network services.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and configuration management processes.
• Proficient in Couchbase, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Strong logical and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends.
• 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in the above areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis platforms.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
