Job summary

Mavenir in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer with deep expertise in Linux/UNIX, Kubernetes, and shell scripting to support Online Charging Systems in a high-availability environment. You will troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize telecom software platforms across multiple regions, ensuring system stability and rapid incident resolution.

The role requires 6–10 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills in English, and willingness to participate in 24/7

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer support environment, preferably in telecom or network services.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Online Charging Systems (OCS) and related telecom infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HTTP2/REST, Diameter, and SS7 protocols.
• Perform preventive health checks, monitor network stability, and ensure optimal system performance.
• Handle incident management, including hot and critical issues, and perform KPI and traffic analysis.
• Configure and maintain business/tariff products and ensure accurate deployment.
• Work collaboratively with a team of skilled engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Technical Support Engineer with strong expertise in Linux/UNIX systems, Kubernetes, and Shell scripting, along with hands‑on experience in telecom protocols and online charging systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring system stability, handling incidents, and supporting business-critical applications in a high-availability environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Online Charging Systems (OCS) and related telecom infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HTTP2/REST, Diameter, and SS7 protocols.
• Perform preventive health checks, monitor network stability, and ensure optimal system performance.
• Handle incident management, including hot and critical issues, and perform KPI and traffic analysis.
• Configure and maintain business/tariff products and ensure accurate deployment.
• Work collaboratively with a team of skilled engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Participate in 24/7 shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, as per business requirements

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and Shell scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Good understanding of HTTP2/REST APIs, Diameter, and SS7 protocols.
• Experience in a customer support environment, preferably in telecom or network services.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and configuration management processes.
• Proficient in Couchbase, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Strong logical and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends.
• 6 - 10 years of relevant experience in the above areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis platforms.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
