Job summary

Mavenir is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop and test embedded software for high-performance telecom systems. You will work on C/C++ for embedded processors, multi-threaded architectures and Linux environments, with exposure to DPDK/VPP, virtualization, Kubernetes and security protocols.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of experience in developing C/C++ for Embedded Processor systems, including architecture, design, coding, testing and support.
• Extensive experience in multi-threaded, multi-processor systems with low-latency embedded development on x86_64.
• Proficiency in DPDK, VPP and hands-on industry experience.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and Python scripting.
• Experience with Linux-based OS (CentOS, RHEL).
• Knowledge of x86_64 processor architecture and performance profiling.
• Familiarity with virtualization, NFV, Kubernetes (K8s).
• Proficiency in IPsec/IKEv2 encryption and EAP-AKA authentication.
• Experience in telecom, especially wireless telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and test software systems for cloud-based or internet-related tools.
• Develop embedded software across architectures including real-time, multi-core processors.
• Profile and optimize performance on x86_64 systems.
• Work with virtualization and NFV environments and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Collaborate on security protocols like IPsec/IKEv2 and EAP-AKA.

• Proficiency in Intel DPDK, VPP and must have hands‑on industry experience.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting as well as higher level scripting languages (Python).
• Proficiency operating in Linux-based Operating Systems such as CENTOS, RHEL etc.
• Proficiency with embedded multi-core processors with real time, embedded, multithreaded applications.

• Hands‑on experience of using VS Code IDE having GH Copilot plugin, M365 Copilot knowledge and Prompt Engineering.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
