DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) GSC in Chennai seeks a Senior Team Manager - IT Testing to lead the testing strategy for IT systems, ensuring quality and end-user satisfaction across global service centers.

You will guide test planning, tool selection, and governance, while mentoring teams and driving automation, AI/ML integration, and continuous improvement across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; management qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership roles with 12+ years in Testing domain.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall, testing governance, large-scale product delivery.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Team Manager - IT Testing

Job Location: Chennai.

We are the captive Shared Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota & Budapest. Job Purpose:

Provide input to and lead the implementation of IT Systems testing strategy to ensure information systems products and services meet desired standards and end-user requirements and suggest future quality improvements in line with business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies

The role reports into Service Delivery Head and manages the Business partner for different Sub services of the Business support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide input to develop IT Systems testing strategy in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies
• Prepare and monitor execution of IT Systems testing plans, measures and budgets including resources, costs, timelines, test deliverables and auditability
• Define test strategy, and guide planning and execution for IT Systems testing projects ensuring integrity of testing and acceptance activities
• Lead development and selection of project testing standards for all phases, influencing all parties to conform to those standards
• Provide advice and support implementation of various types of test and test specification techniques
• Determine selection and roll‑out of test tools such that test process are supported by state-of-the art tools
• Direct test process optimization to use the best test process for the specific project
• Anticipate, analyze and report on potential project risks, and recommend actions to mitigate risks
• Advice on IT Systems testing and testing management, and design process improvements, develop corporate IT Systems testing standards and apply best practices
• Lead development and execution of training on new test processes and/ or tools
• Periodically evaluate suppliers' development and testing capabilities, as required
• Analyse complex issues, benchmark, identify opportunities and introduce best practices for IT Systems testing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree; management qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership roles, preferably project delivery, with 12 plus years’ total experience in the Testing domain.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall, Testing governance and large-scale product delivery.
• Expertise in application testing, UAT coordination and system testing lifecycle.
• Hands on experience in Automation tools like Selenium and UiPath.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI, AI/ML, RPA and digital transformation.
• Expertise in SQL to understand the ETL Testing concepts.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across global/cross-cultural environments.
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into operational execution.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to drive transformation, innovation and change management.
• Ability to identify and deliver synergies between functions, products, countries and service delivery centres.
• Experience in performance reporting and data-driven decision support.
