Job summary

OSI Digital in India seeks a Senior Tableau Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise BI solutions using Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, and Tableau Prep.

You will craft dashboards, optimize data sources, write complex SQL (CTEs, views), manage security, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs.

5–6 years of Tableau experience is required, with hybrid remote/on-site work in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Chennai.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Tableau Developer with 5 to 6 years of experience to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise BI solutions. The ideal candidate must possess deep expertise in both Tableau On-Premises (Server) and Tableau Cloud environments, Tableau Prep, coupled with expert-level SQL skills for querying, transforming, and modeling large, complex datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performing, interactive dashboards, complex reports, and scorecards using Tableau Desktop. Deep understanding of LOD expressions, Set/Parameter actions, Data Blending, and Custom SQL connections
• Publish, schedule, manage security/permissions, and maintain data sources across both Tableau Server (On-Premises) and Tableau Cloud (Online) environments.
• Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries, CTEs, stored procedures, and views to extract data from various relational databases and data warehouses. Experience working with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Troubleshoot and optimize dashboard load times, query execution speeds, and extract refresh pipelines (using Hyper Extracts and LOD expressions).
• Gather reporting requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate them into actionable functional and technical specifications.
• Perform data preparation, cleaning, and transformation using Tableau Prep or custom database scripts to ensure data integrity.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Certified Specialist.
• Exposure to scripting languages (Python or R) for advanced analytics.
• Prior experience in contract/consulting roles delivering results within tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and migrating content between On-Prem and Cloud environments.
