Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Tableau Developer to design, develop, administer, and support enterprise reporting solutions and dashboards. You will work with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable, governed data products and KPIs.

A strong background in Tableau and SQL is essential for performance tuning and production support. Responsibilities include administering Tableau Server or Cloud, optimizing queries, and integrating with AWS services

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in report development, Tableau dashboard development, advanced SQL, and BI platform administration or production support.
• Strong expertise in Tableau report development, dashboard design, visualization best practices, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Tableau administration experience including access management, refresh scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.
• Experience integrating reporting solutions with AWS services and enterprise data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex Tableau reports, dashboards, workbooks, extracts, and self-service analytics solutions.
• Administer Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud including users, permissions, schedules, extracts, performance, security, and platform health.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable dashboards, KPIs, and governed data products.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries across enterprise data sources and reporting data models.
• Integrate Tableau and reporting solutions with AWS services, data warehouses, APIs, and enterprise data platforms.

Job Description Summarized Purpose: We are seeking a Sr. Report Developer with strong Tableau expertise to design, develop, administer, and support enterprise reporting solutions, complex dashboards, and Tableau infrastructure that enable reliable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field 6+ years of experience in report development, Tableau dashboard development, advanced SQL, and BI platform administration or production support

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop complex Tableau reports, dashboards, workbooks, extracts, and self-service analytics solutions.
• Administer Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud including users, permissions, schedules, extracts, performance, security, and platform health.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable dashboards, KPIs, and governed data products.
• Write, optimize , and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries across enterprise data sources and reporting data models.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Hands-on Tableau administration experience including access management, refresh scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.
• Advanced SQL expertise with strong understanding of data modeling , joins, aggregations, stored procedures, and query optimization.
• Experience integrating reporting solutions with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue, Lambda, RDS, or similar cloud data services.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and production support skills.

Must Have Skills:

• Tableau report development, dashboard design, and performance optimization.
• Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud administration and infrastructure support.
• Advanced SQL, data analysis, data modeling , and enterprise reporting experience.
• AWS service integration, data warehouse connectivity, governance, and production reporting support.

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and BI platforms.
• Python, scripting, APIs, automation, or DevOps practices for BI administration and reporting operations.
• Exposure to AI-assisted report development, natural language analytics, automated insights, or AI-enabled BI features.
