Job summary

UST in Bengaluru (Hybrid) is seeking a Senior Tableau-SQL Developer with 6–8 years of hands-on BI experience. The role focuses on designing and delivering high-impact dashboards, partnering with data engineers and leadership to drive data-driven decisions.

You will build executive and operational dashboards, optimize performance, and implement governance and security for BI assets in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on BI/Analytics experience with Tableau development.
• Advanced SQL skills including complex joins, CTEs, window functions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and analytics concepts.
• Experience building executive-level and operational dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards for executive and operational needs.
• Translate business requirements into visual analytics, KPIs, scorecards, and data stories.

Role: Senior Tableau-SQL Developer

We are seeking an experienced BI Tableau Developer with 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and leadership teams to design and deliver high‑impact dashboards and analytical insights that drive data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Visualization & Dashboard Development Design, develop, and maintain interactive, scalable Tableau dashboards for executive, operational, and analytical use cases.
• Translate business requirements into effective visual analytics, KPIs, scorecards, and data stories.
• Develop advanced Tableau features such as parameters, calculated fields, LOD expressions, table calculations, actions, and custom tooltips.
• Ensure dashboards are performance‑optimized, intuitive, and aligned with UX/UI best practices.
• Business Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with business users, product owners, and leadership to gather, refine, and validate reporting and analytical requirements.
• Conduct requirement workshops, dashboard walkthroughs, and user training sessions.
• Proactively recommend visualization approaches and insights beyond stated requirements.
• Data Integration & Modeling Work closely with data engineering teams to consume data from enterprise data platforms such as: Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata Understand and work with dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas) and curated semantic layers.
• Create and manage Tableau Extracts, Live Connections, and optimized data sources. Performance, Governance & Security Optimize Tableau dashboard performance through efficient calculations, query tuning, and extract strategies. Implement row‑level security (RLS), user access controls, and governed data sources.
• Follow enterprise BI standards for naming conventions, documentation, versioning, and deployment.
• Platform & Environment Management Work with Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud for publishing, scheduling, user access, and content management. Monitor dashboard usage and proactively improve under‑utilized or low‑value reports.
• Support BI release cycles across Development, Test, and Production environments.

Required Technical Skills

• 6–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics & strong, hands‑on Tableau development experience.
• Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, CTEs, window functions)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and analytics concepts
