Job summary

Peak3 is seeking a Senior System Architect to design scalable, secure systems for insurance clients with a focus on the Indian market. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions across insurance platforms and integrations.

Experience in Life Insurance is a strong advantage; insurance domain knowledge is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering or solution architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, databases and messaging.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to communicate with both tech and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and AI-DLC is a plus.

• Define system and solution architecture for complex enterprise applications.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior System Architect to design and evolve scalable, secure and maintainable systems for our insurance clients, with a focus on the Indian market.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, engineering teams and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions across insurance platforms, applications and integrations.

Insurance domain experience is not mandatory, but experience in Life Insurance is a strong advantage.

Role and Responsibilities

• Define system and solution architecture for complex enterprise applications and platforms.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture designs.
• Design APIs, integrations, data flows and system interfaces across internal and external platforms.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and review solution and technical designs.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability and maintainability requirements.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies and architectural gaps, and drive appropriate solutions.
• Support system modernisation, migration and platform transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to technical discovery, RFI/RFP responses and client workshops.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, system design or solution architecture.
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale, distributed and highly integrated systems.
• Solid understanding of architecture patterns, APIs, microservices, databases, messaging and system integration.
• Experience with modern cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, performance, resilience and observability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working with Agile, DevOps and distributed engineering teams, as well as latest AI tooling/AI-DLC.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Billing, Product Configuration or Policy Servicing systems.
• Experience with insurance platform integrations, including CRM, payments, distribution, actuarial or finance systems.
• Experience with Life Insurance platforms such as TCS BaNCS, ALIP, LifePRO, INSIS, FAST or equivalent.
• Familiarity with IRDAI requirements and Indian insurance processes.
