We are looking for an experiencedSenior System Administratorwith strong expertise inWindows Server Administration, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and enterprise virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience withVMware and Microsoft Hyper‑Vand will be responsible for managing and optimizing large-scale IT infrastructure environments.
Experience inmanufacturing or plant IT environmentswill be preferred, and knowledge ofManufacturing Execution Systems (MES)will be considered an added advantage. The role involves designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise IT systems while ensuringhigh availability, scalability, performance, and compliance. A basic working knowledge ofLinux environmentsis also required to support hybrid infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Windows Server Management
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintainWindows Server environmentsacross physical and virtual platforms.
- ManageGroup Policy Objects (GPOs)and server roles includingActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print Services.
- Performpatch management, system hardening, backup, and recovery operations.
- Monitor server performance and ensure system stability and availability.
2. Active Directory Administration
- Design, implement, and manageActive Directory forests, domains, trusts, and replication.
- Administeruser accounts, security groups, OU structures, and role-based access controls.
- Ensuredomain security, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting of AD-related issues.
3. DNS & DHCP Administration
- Configure and manageDNS zones, records, and DHCP scopes.
- Monitor and troubleshootname resolution, IP allocation, and network integration issues.
- Manage enterprise virtualization platforms includingVMware and Microsoft Hyper‑V.
- Provision and managevirtual machines, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
- Monitor and troubleshootvirtual infrastructure performance and availability.
5. Infrastructure Operations & Availability
- Ensurehigh system reliability, availability, and disaster recovery readiness, especially for business‑critical systems.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and implementpreventive maintenance and optimization.
- Manageserver hardware, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and clustering solutions.
6. Security & Compliance
- Implement and maintainsecurity hardening standardsfor servers and virtual environments.
- Supportinternal and external audits, vulnerability remediation, and IT policy compliance.
- Work closely withmanufacturing/plant teamsto supportOT–IT integrationand production system availability.
- Support infrastructure requirements formanufacturing applications and MES platforms, where applicable.
7. Incident, Change & Problem Management
- ProvideL3-level supportfor complex infrastructure and system issues.
- Conductroot cause analysis (RCA)and coordinate with vendors/OEMs for issue resolution.
- Participate inchange management, documentation, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experiencein IT Infrastructure and System Administration.
- In‑depth knowledge ofActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.
- Strong experience withvirtualization platforms such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper‑V.
- Basic working knowledge ofLinux operating systems(user management, services, logs, and troubleshooting).
- Familiarity withSAN/NAS storage, server clustering, and enterprise backup solutions(e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
- Experience inPowerShell scriptingfor automation and administrative tasks.
- Exposure to manufacturing or plant IT environmentswill be preferred.
- Knowledge ofManufacturing Execution Systems (MES)will be an added advantage.
