Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator to manage, support, and maintain enterprise Windows server infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Virtualization, Server Security, and Production Support operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows Server environments.
- Manage and support Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 platforms.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, DHCP, File & Print Services.
- Perform user account, group, access, and permission management.
- Monitor server performance, system health, availability, and capacity utilization.
- Implement server patch management, security updates, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Troubleshoot server, operating system, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Manage backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
- Support and administer virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
- Perform server hardening activities and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Manage storage systems, shared folders, and print services.
- Maintain server documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with networking, security, cloud, and application teams for infrastructure support.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Provide production support and resolve critical system issues within SLA timelines.
- Participate in on‑call support and planned maintenance activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 3-6 years of experience in Windows Server Administration.
- Hands‑on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and File Services.
- Experience in user administration, role‑based access management, and security policies.
- Good understanding of server patching, upgrades, and system maintenance.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper‑V, and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Understanding of server hardening, security compliance, and vulnerability management.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and support critical incidents.
