Job summary

Star Air in Bengaluru seeks a diligent stores and inventory specialist to manage parts, tools, and materials for line maintenance and cabin services.

You will verify incoming shipments, maintain stock accuracy, and ensure complete material traceability from receipt to dispatch, while complying with aviation documentation standards. The role requires 1–3 years in warehousing and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; on-site work in Bengaluru is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years in stores, inventory, or warehouse management.
• Basic knowledge of aircraft parts, inventory control, and aviation documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and inspection of incoming parts against POs and docs.
• Control and store serviceable, unserviceable, and quarantined parts.
• Issue parts to maintenance teams per approved requisitions.
• Pack and dispatch unserviceable components to vendors with proper docs.
• Conduct stock counts and report variances and consumption.

Job description

1. 1. Diploma or Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. 2. Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in stores, inventory, or warehouse management.
3. 3. Basic knowledge of aircraft parts, inventory control, material traceability, and aviation documentation.
4. 4. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Receiving and Inspection:Verify incoming aircraft parts, tools, and materials against purchase orders and shipping documents.Inspect goods for transit damage, check shelf-life expiration dates, and verify proper certification/release tags.
2. 2. Inventory Control and Storage:Separate and store serviceable, unserviceable, and quarantined bonded parts in controlled temperature and humidity conditions.Assign unique batch numbers, part numbers, and bin locations.Track and manage stock levels, oils, greases, and consumables to prevent shortages or overstocking.
3. 3. Issuing and Distribution:Issue parts and materials to line maintenance, engineering, or cabin services teams based on approved requisitions or material movement requests.Maintain complete material traceability from receipt to final installation or dispatch.
4. 4. Shipping and Repairs:Pack and dispatch unserviceable or repairable components to external vendors or overhaul shops.Prepare shipping manifests, customs paperwork, and dangerous goods hazardous material documentation.
5. 5. Auditing and Reporting:Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle audits.Generate periodic consumption, stock variance, and expired-item reports for Accountable Manager
