Job summary

Anup Engineering wishes to recruit a Stores & Warehouse Manager to establish and lead a stores department for heavy engineering materials and project materials. You will design bin locations, implement efficient warehouse layouts, and ensure inventory control using FIFO/FEFO principles.

You will coordinate across procurement, production, and quality to optimize stock levels, improve accuracy, and streamline material flow in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of Stores & Warehouse Management experience in heavy engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience in setting up a stores department from scratch and optimizing inventory.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques and layout planning.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage the stores department from scratch.
• Implement efficient bin location systems and warehouse layout.
• Oversee FIFO/FEFO and inventory optimization for materials, plates, pipes, forgings, and consumables.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices.
• Hands-on experience in setting up a stores department from scratch.
• Expertise in Bin Location creation and warehouse layout planning.
• Sound understanding of FIFO, FEFO, ABC, XYZ, FSN, and inventory optimization techniques.
• Experience in handling heavy engineering materials, fabricated items, plates, pipes, forgings, fasteners, consumables, and project materials.
• Proficiency SAP is must
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, or related discipline.
• 7-10 years of experience in Stores & Warehouse Management, preferably in a heavy engineering, fabrication, pressure vessel, heat exchanger, or manufacturing industry.
