Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Bengaluru is seeking a WLAN Validation & Test Automation Engineer to lead validation activities for next‑generation Wi-Fi products. You will build automated test frameworks using Python and Shell, collaborating with global engineering teams to ensure high quality releases.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience in WLAN validation, strong IEEE 802.11 and TCP/IP networking knowledge, and proficiency in automation, CI/CD, and version control.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of WLAN validation and test automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11 and TCP/IP networking.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting; CI/CD and Git.
• Experience with test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Wi-Fi validation to ensure quality, performance, reliability, and interoperability.
• Define and drive best practices for Wi-Fi testing and validation.
• Develop and execute validation plans for Wi-Fi features and solutions.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, product management, and test teams.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex Wi‑Fi issues; identify root causes.
• Ensure Wi-Fi products meet functional, performance, stability, and interoperability requirements.
• Review requirements and designs; provide guidance to improve test coverage.
• Mentor and support engineering teams on validation methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement in test automation and validation frameworks.
• Work with cross-functional, global teams to deliver on schedule.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Lead Wi-Fi validation activities to ensure product quality, performance, reliability, and interoperability.
• Define, implement, and drive best practices, processes, and strategies for Wi-Fi testing and validation.
• Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for Wi-Fi features and solutions.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, product management, and test teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi issues, identifying root causes and driving resolution.
• Ensure Wi-Fi products meet functional, performance, stability, and interoperability requirements across diverse environments.
• Review product requirements and designs, providing technical guidance to improve test coverage and quality.
• Mentor and support engineering teams on validation methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in test automation, validation frameworks, and quality processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional and global teams to deliver high-quality wireless products on schedule.

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed :

• Strong knowledge of WLAN standards (IEEE802.11family) and wireless networking concepts.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in test automation using Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience with software release management, version control and CI/CD tools(e.g.,Git).
• Ability to develop test strategies, test topologies, validation plans, and testcases.
• Experience in defect tracking, root cause analysis and working with bug management tools.
• Strongproblem-solving,analytical,anddebuggingskillswithkeenattentiontodetail.
• Ability to review product designs and provide proactive feedback on testability and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, customer facing and geographically distributed teams.
