Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a senior validation engineer in Bengaluru to drive silicon validation and characterization activities. You will develop automated test frameworks, support software and firmware for validation, and work with cross-functional teams to debug and resolve issues on FPGA and silicon devices.

You will also design Python and LabVIEW automation solutions for bench equipment and manage project execution, ensuring thorough data collection and reporting to meet product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 13+ years of experience with microcontrollers and SoC products.
• Hands-on with bench characterization of Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal IPs.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role Collaborate with Silicon Validation and Characterization teams to gather, analyze, and understand test requirements. Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks, including supporting software and firmware for silicon validation. Perform validation activities on FPGA platforms (pre-silicon) and silicon devices, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify, debug, and resolve issues. Design and implement Python and LabVIEW-based automation solutions for bench test equipment to support silicon validation and characterization activities. Drive project execution by managing schedules, coordinating deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders when serving in a Program Manager role. Ensure efficient test coverage, data collection, and reporting to support product quality and performance objectives. Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies, automation frameworks, and testing processes.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. 13+ years of experience with microcontrollers and SoC (System-on-Chip) products. Strong experience in bench characterization of Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal IPs. Hands-on expertise with laboratory equipment, including SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators. Proficiency in C, Python, and LabVIEW programming languages; LabVIEW experience is highly desirable. Solid understanding of voltage regulators, reference circuits, and precision measurement techniques. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
