Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG Bengaluru seeks an ATE Hardware Design & Validation Engineer to drive hardware specs, PCB validation, RF compliance, and ATE test hardware development with external partners.

You will review schematics, layouts, stack-ups, SI/PI results, and support fabrication, validation, and production release of load boards and probe cards for ATE testing.

Qualifications

• Experience with ATE hardware development, load boards, probe cards, or RF test hardware.
• Strong understanding of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi RF testing requirements.
• Experience reviewing PCB layouts, stack ups, manufacturing outputs, and simulation results.
• Knowledge of PCB fabrication processes, controlled impedance design, and manufacturing constraints.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit theory, and board-level hardware design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Teradyne Ultra FLEX, Ultra FLEX Plus Advantest 93K, or similar test platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware requirements and design specifications for external design vendors.
• Review schematics, PCB layouts, stack ups, and manufacturing outputs to ensure compliance with electrical, RF, mechanical, and reliability requirements.
• Ensure Bluetooth (BT) and Wi-Fi RF test requirements are fully met.
• Review signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), and RF simulation results.
• Support development, validation, and production release of load boards and probe card hardware for ATE-based testing.
• Select and qualify board-level components including sockets, connectors, cables, relays, and RF components.
• Review board materials, layer stack ups, and fabrication requirements with manufacturing partners.
• Work with external vendors, manufacturing partners, and internal company teams to support fabrication, assembly, validation, delivery, and debug activities. Drive technical issue resolution throughout the hardware development lifecycle.

Join our team as a ATE Hardware Design & Validation Engineer and play a key role in the development of cutting-edge wireless and test hardware solutions. In this role, you will drive hardware specification reviews, PCB design validation, RF compliance, and ATE test hardware development while collaborating with external design partners, manufacturing vendors, and cross-functional teams. If you have expertise in high-speed hardware design, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi RF systems, SI/PI analysis, and product validation, this is an exciting opportunity to influence products from concept through production.
