Job summary

International Flavours & Fragrances India Private Limited in Mumbai (Remote role) is seeking a Regulatory Compliance specialist with 3–5 years of experience in flavors/food/chemical industries. You will review raw materials, ensure regulatory approvals, and collaborate with R&D, QA, and production to address compliance issues.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry background and strong communication skills, capable of working autonomously to meet tight deadlines in a global regulatory context.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance in flavors/food/chemical industry.
• Knowledge of legal and safety aspects of flavors.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in the flavor industry and determine approval status from vendor docs, company practices, and regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Creative, QA, Production and cross-functional teams to address regulatory issues and tasks.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases for data accuracy, consistency and compliance.
• Review and interpret global regulations to implement them within the company.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to assess and document regulatory status of new reactions, ingredients and formulations.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavor industry. Determine the approval status of raw materials based on review of vendor documentation, current company practices, and knowledge of the regulations. Collaborate with R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production and cross-functional teams to address and resolve regulatory issues/tasks. Maintain and update regulatory databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Review and interpret global regulations to allow for proper implementation within the company. Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed. Collaborate closely with R&D teams to accurately assess, document, and maintain the regulatory status of newly developed reactions, ingredients, and formulations.

What Makes You the Right Fit

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or any other relevant discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance preferably within the flavors, food or chemical industry. Good Knowledge in legal and safety aspects of flavors. Ability to work with defined timelines, priorities and meet demanding deadlines. Perform responsibilities with a positive attitude and an ability to work autonomously. Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills. Multi-tasker who can manage different priorities while maintaining a high level of service.
