Job summary

IFF in Mumbai (remote) invites applications for a Regulatory Compliance role. You will partner with vendors and the global procurement team to review regulatory documentation, perform material regulatory reviews, and collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production to address regulatory issues.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry degree with 1–3 years of regulatory experience, a proactive attitude, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years in regulatory compliance within flavors/food/chemical industry.
• Knowledge of legal and safety aspects of flavors.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines.
• Autonomous work style with strong communication and networking skills.
• Multitasker handling multiple priorities while maintaining service.

Responsibilities

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Partner with vendors and the global procurement team to obtain, review, and maintain up-to-date regulatory documentation.
• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavor industry.
• Determine approval status of raw materials based on review of vendor documentation, current company practices and knowledge of the regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production and cross-functional teams to address and resolve regulatory issues/tasks.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Monitor, interpret, and review global regulatory requirements.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.

What Makes You The Right Fit

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance preferably within the flavors, food or chemical industry.
• Good Knowledge in legal and safety aspects of flavors.
