Job summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. The role, based in Mumbai (Remote), focuses on regulatory compliance for raw materials in the flavor industry, with collaboration across R&D, QA, and production to ensure regulatory alignment and data accuracy.

You will review global regulations, support regulatory initiatives, and document regulatory status for new ingredients and formulations, contributing to compliant product development and market

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance, preferably in flavors, food or chemical industries.
• Good knowledge of legal and safety aspects of flavors.
• Ability to work with defined timelines and meet deadlines.
• Autonomy and positive attitude in task execution.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
• Multitasker able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service level.

Responsibilities

• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavor industry.
• Determine approval status of raw materials based on vendor docs, company practices and regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production and cross-functional teams to resolve regulatory issues.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases for data accuracy and compliance.
• Review and interpret global regulations for proper implementation within the company.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.
• Collaborate with R&D to assess and document regulatory status of new reactions, ingredients, and formulations.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavor industry.
• Determine the approval status of raw materials based on review of vendor documentation, current company practices, and knowledge of the regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production and cross-functional teams to address and resolve regulatory issues/tasks.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Review and interpret global regulations to allow for proper implementation within the company.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to accurately assess, document, and maintain the regulatory status of newly developed reactions, ingredients, and formulations.

What Makes You The Right Fit

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance preferably within the flavors, food or chemical industry.
• Good Knowledge in legal and safety aspects of flavors.
