IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, invites you to join as Regulatory Compliance specialist based in Mumbai, India (Remote role). You will review raw materials for regulatory status and collaborate with R&D, QA, and production to resolve compliance issues.

We value strong knowledge of global flavor regulations, project management, and the ability to work autonomously to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant discipline.
• 3–5 years of regulatory compliance experience in flavors/food/chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of global food flavor regulations and safety aspects.
• Ability to work to tight timelines and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities; able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavors.
• Determine approval status based on vendor docs and regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, Production, and cross-functional teams to resolve regulatory issues.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases for accuracy and compliance.
• Review and interpret global regulations for proper implementation.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.
• Collaborate with R&D to assess regulatory status of new reactions, ingredients, formulations.

Where You'll Make a Difference

• Perform regulatory compliance reviews of raw materials used in flavor industry.
• Determine the approval status of raw materials based on review of vendor documentation, current company practices, and knowledge of the regulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Creative, Quality Assurance, Production and cross-functional teams to address and resolve regulatory issues/tasks.
• Maintain and update regulatory databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Review and interpret global regulations to allow for proper implementation within the company.
• Support regulatory initiatives and projects as needed.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams to accurately assess, document, and maintain the regulatory status of newly developed reactions, ingredients, and formulations.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance preferably within the flavors, food or chemical industry.
• Good Knowledge in legal and safety aspects of flavors.
• Ability to work with defined timelines, priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
• Perform responsibilities with a positive attitude and an ability to work autonomously.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
• Multi-tasker who can manage different priorities while maintaining a high level of service.
