Job summary

Clarus Advisers is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Streaming with strong C++ skills to design, develop, and optimize ultra low-latency streaming software across Windows, Linux, and embedded platforms.

You will build media streaming pipelines using WebRTC, GStreamer, RTP/RTCP, and analyze performance across real-world workloads.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4-9 years of proven C++ software development, optimization, and debugging.
• Strong OS, multithreading, memory management, networking, and systems programming knowledge.
• Ability to debug complex issues across software, OS, media pipelines, platform, and hardware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated.
• In-depth WebRTC knowledge: peer connection lifecycle, ICE, SRTP/DTLS-SRTP/SCTP.
• Hands-on experience with streaming protocols like RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, QUIC.
• Experience with video codecs: H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1, hardware-accelerated encode/decode.

• Analyze CPU, memory, networking, media pipeline, and scheduling across workloads.

• Define and implement KPIs for networking quality, streaming quality, and UX.
• Integrate streaming software with platform services, connectivity layers, or automotive components.

• Good To Have:-
• Hands-on experience with streaming protocols and technologies such as RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and QUIC.
• Experience with video codecs and formats such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, AV1, color spaces, or hardware-accelerated encode/decode.
• Experience with QNX, QNX Safety, Linux, or embedded operating systems for safety-critical platforms is a strong plus.
• Experience with automotive software, telematics, connected vehicle platforms, infotainment, or car connectivity.
