Job summary

Acldigital is seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Engineer in India to design and develop innovative IoT solutions. Candidates should have expertise in Linux kernel programming, device driver development, and experience with various audio/video codecs. A strong understanding of microcontroller architectures is essential. The role involves engaging directly with clients and participating in requirement discussions. Applicants with Agile experience will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with video and audio codecs including h264, h265, and JPEG.

Job description

Qualifications

• Linux kernel, device driver and application programming skills for embedded systems
• Board bring up experience is required
• Understanding of various processor and microcontroller architecture like Cortex-A series, ARM series processors etc. and other general-purpose microcontrollers
• Working experience of architecting embedded systems
• Understanding of Video Frame Types, Resolution, FPS, GOP and Bit-Rate
• Working experience with GStreamer, LIVE555 and FFmpeg Frameworks
• Hands-on with streaming protocols like RTP, RTSP, RTCP, and HLS
• Experience with ALSA Audio Library
• Working experience with Video and Audio Codec including h264, h265, JPEG and AEC
• Hands-on experience with QT and QML GUI frameworks
• Experience with ONVIF protocol and profiles is add-on
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Debugging skills and hands on with coding and tool usage
• Working experience of on bare metal, RTOS, device driver development is an added advantage

Other Skills

• Direct customer (US or Europe based) interaction will be added advantage
• Write high quality, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Participate in feature and designs discussions within and across teams
• Evangelize and inform with well-written design documents and conduct peer-reviews
• Review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug the hardest problems live on some of the most innovative IoT devices.
