Job summary

Amantya Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior C++ Multimedia Developer with 5-12 years of experience to design, optimize video and image processing solutions for medical imaging and visualization products.

You will work with Modern C++, GStreamer, and Linux, building high‑performance pipelines, real‑time workflows, and modular software components while collaborating with global teams across software, hardware, UI/UX, and QA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in C++ multimedia software development.
• Experience with Linux-based software development environments and Git workflows.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, tooling, or testing.
• Strong understanding of OOAD, UML, and common design patterns.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of build systems and CI/CD pipelines (CMake, Docker).
• Familiarity with GPU/accelerator tech (CUDA, OpenCL) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance video and image processing modules using Modern C++ and Python.
• Build scalable multimedia pipelines for video acquisition, processing, encoding/decoding, streaming, recording, and playback.
• Develop and optimize real‑time video workflows with low latency and high resolution content.
• Implement and maintain video compression/decompression using codecs such as H.264/H.265.
• Create modular, reusable software components following OO design principles and patterns.
• Optimize memory usage, concurrency, and system throughput for multimedia apps.
• Integrate hardware acceleration where applicable to improve processing efficiency.

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to design, develop, and optimize video and image processing solutions for next‑generation medical imaging and visualization products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Modern C++, gstreamer and multimedia technologies, and high‑performance software development on Linux platforms. The role involves building scalable, maintainable, and efficient video/image pipelines while collaborating with cross‑functional global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance video and image processing modules using Modern C++ and Python.
• Build scalable multimedia pipelines for video acquisition, processing, encoding, decoding, streaming, recording, and playback.
• Develop and optimize solutions for real‑time video workflows, including low‑latency processing and high‑resolution content.
• Implement and maintain video compression and decompression pipelines using industry‑standard codecs such as H.264 and H.265.
• Design modular, reusable, and maintainable software components following object‑oriented design principles and established design patterns.
• Optimize software performance, memory utilization, concurrency, and system throughput for demanding multimedia applications.
• Integrate hardware acceleration technologies where applicable to improve processing efficiency and overall system performance.
• Develop robust APIs and software interfaces for multimedia and imaging subsystems.
• Collaborate closely with software/system architects, embedded software engineers, hardware teams, UI/UX developers, quality engineers, and product stakeholders.
• Participate in software architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical problem‑solving activities.
• Contribute to automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Modern C++ (C++17/20 preferred).
• Experience in multimedia application development, video processing, image processing, or computer vision systems.
• Good programming experience in Python for automation, tooling, testing, or application development.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, object‑oriented analysis and design (OOAD), UML, and common design patterns.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, synchronization, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience in Linux‑based software development environments.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git and modern software development workflows.
• Knowledge of build systems and automation tools such as CMake, Docker, Shell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.

Additional skills
